With his new EP, Have Mercy On Me, Stevie Tombstone has made a remarkable comeback. Most of the tracks were recorded in Black Mountain, N.C., and feature some of the most talented and respected members of the western Carolina music community as well as a few . Included on the record are a few updated versions of previously recorded songs which make them sound even more powerful than the originals. Additionally, the new compositions are inspired by recent life events which have found their way into his songs, offering an honest glimpse into the life of a troubadour. While each arrangement complements the song, there's a common theme of Appalachian roots running through the music. These new songs reveal Tombstone's journey of overcoming adversity through his songwriting. Instruments like the pedal steel, banjo, and fiddles add depth to the music without overshadowing the heartfelt lyrics and emotions.
